For this project, we were instructed to photograph ourselves and have the image say something about you. This project was very fun to make!
The double exposure project involved me using the Photoshop blending mode of soft light to create this effect.
The composite project had involved taking three of your own photographs and blending them into one. I believe that my images went together quite well.
The Spilled Ink assignment was to create a cover for the magazine we have at school. The design had to include our school name, the volume number, and the title "Spilled Ink".
For Album Art, we had to recreate a famous album cover to look like the original. I had used my older brother to recreate the Bob Marley album to the right.
For this project we had to recreate a famous piece of art. The design had to be entirely self-created with what you had. I recreated a painted portrait of journalist Sylvia Von Harden by Otto Dix shown on the right.
I took this image on the Fremont Street field trip in February. The clear reflection of us taking the photograph really stood out to me.
This is a photograph I had the opportunity to take on the Fremont Street field trip. I feel that the photograph itself expresses a lot of emotions and it very eye-catching with its bright and exotic colors.
The above photo was created in Photoshop. The first image is a happy person watching a memory. As time went on, the memory became only a sad remembrance of what once was and the once happy individual is now sad.
This image was created in Photoshop using two images I took while visiting Hawaii. I believe that the photo accurately captures freedom when blended as so.
For this assignment, I poured nail polish into a bowl of water and created a swirl effect for my cover. The white letters balanced out well against the dark swirl of colors behind it.
The following project is an AD Design for a porcelain dolphin that I shot in studio.
This image was developed in the darkroom using my negatives from a film camera. The process included making a contact sheet of all of my photos, creating a test strip to understand how much exposure I would need on my chosen photo, and finally developing my image. During this project, I learned all about how to develop photos with the correct exposure and focus.
For this project we had to shoot photos in the studio lighting located in our room. The assignment that we had was to execute different lighting patterns using the lighting.
For this project, I had to take photos of one object from 10 different points of view. I used my best friend Kendall as my object.
This assignment was to take a photo of a toy and make edit it to be something great. I used an elephant and captured water spraying towards him to represent him normally blowing water out of his trunk.
This assignment involved using to home lighting to create an amazing self portrait after editing. I used my plasma ball and edited it to look as if it was coming out all around me.
The following assignment was to create a card that represented "what the world needs now".
This project is taken using a white background and white clothing and then adding pops of color. I added a polaroid effect to go along with the polaroid camera theme in the photograph itself.
For this project, we had to create an image that made a statement about a transformation, self-discovery/reflection, or contemporary issue. My composition includes a statement towards self-discovery, as the subject is accepting himself as trans and embracing it.
The ideas for this project was to create a triptych of three images that are closely related to each other.
My chosen theme was to use three images to create a story and I felt that these three images clearly display the events taking place in the photo.
